McDonough Corporation was founded by Bernard P. McDonough in 1945 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Mr. McDonough’s passion for business laid the groundwork for the organization. He held the strong ability to identify opportunities to expand and cultivate his business holdings in a professional and profitable manner. His work ethic, integrity and talent for recognizing leaders for key management roles remain cornerstones for the business philosophy of McDonough Corporation to this day.

With over 70 years of continuous operation and success, McDonough Corporation is privately owned by the family of Bernard P. McDonough.

The history of the McDonough Corporation dates back to the late 1920’s when Bernard P. McDonough entered the construction industry in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Throughout the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s, Mr. McDonough expanded his holdings to include several other businesses with ties to construction, mining and exploration.
